About the Artist

Erica received her BFA from Carnegie Mellon University in Fine Art, and her MFA from The Theatre School at DePaul University in Scenic Design. Pre-degree experience includes: scenic design intern on Disney’s AIDA. - scenic painter for Surflight Theatre’s (NJ) 2000 summer season; shows included Brigadoon, The Sound of Music, and Titanic. Design Resume from The Theatre School: The Colored Museum (Athenaeum Theatre) - The Selfish Giant and Other Wilde Tales (Merle Reskin Theatre) - Waiting for Godot (Merle Reskin Theatre). While studying in Chicago, she had the opportunity to work as a scenic painter on About Face Theatre’s productions of I Am My Own Wife and Fascination as well as design for NHSI: The National High School Institute. Shows for NHSI included: Trojan Women - Iphegenia at Aulis - Animal Farm -They Went Whistling - Mad Forest.

Since coming to New York , Erica has worked as an assistant for Derek McLane ( Little Women -Barefoot in the Park - The Pajama Game - Meet John Doe - 10 Million Miles - Lonestar love -Things We Want -The Piano Teacher - Grease (broadway 2007) - Rafta Rafta ) and Robert Brill ( Assassins - Streetcar named Desire - Bang Bang Andrew Jackson - Mask the musical ). She has collaborated with fellow scenic designer Shoko Kambara on several productions as assitant designer/scenic charge, including Six Available Men, Fatwa, Pulling the Lever, Like You Like It. , Nerds, Love Sucks, and Save the World. Additionally, she had worked extensively as a scenic artist, as well as with New York Mural Artist Andrew Tedesco, and The Gary Musik Company in Nashville , TN
